Day 3: Trains, Wine, and Local Advice

Route description:

After a slight panic over getting a late start, the Travel Vloggers jump on a train to Usti nad Labem and meet a pair of local guides, Michal and Janek. These North Bohemian natives share their opinions the best qualities that the Czech Republic has to offer visitors.

Next up is the Porta Bohemica Winery, where Karel the winemaker invites the team to explore his vineyards and wine cellar. Get your phrasebooks ready for another useful drinking phrase as we learn the Czech version of “bottoms up”.

Too much booze on an empty stomach is a recipe for disaster, so Jiři teaches us how to spot the signs for bike-friendly restaurants along any route. He also shares the health benefits of starting your ride with a beer. The day finishes with a panoramic view from St. Stephen’s Cathedral in Litoměřice and a good night’s sleep for the guys.

This route is perfect for wine connoisseurs and nature lovers. Next up, the group stops at the fortress of Terezín on their way to Mělník.
